The Book Is Out 💥

When Christine Passo tagged me in the LinkedIn post talking about Lonnee Rey looking for Pawthors, I didn’t think much of it beyond “Oh, it’s a great idea. I’ll share that in The Weekly Treat.”

But then I had a closer look at what it was all about and couldn’t resist the pull ..

My chapter is about Good Boy Cai who crossed the Bridge this past April.

How he arrived as a 6-week-old pup who’d already experienced more trauma than anyone - 4-legged or 2-legged - should ever experience, and how he flourished into a beautiful wise, sensitive soul, and taught me so many lessons in the process.

It’s perhaps the hardest piece I’ve ever written AND the piece I’m most proud of.

Cried all the way through.

Took a while to figure out (thanks, Lonnee for your priceless support!) how to turn those countless moments with Cai that were precious to me into a story that would mean something to YOU.

Loved every emotional second of it.

My co-authors Christine Passo, Haakon Rian mAncient Ueland, Paolo Trepiccione, Lonnee Rey who is the soul behind the project and the genius wordsmith who took care of editing and producing the book, and Ellen Whiteside, who wrote the foreword, didn’t hold back the tears either.

Each one of us shares how the bond with our animals made us a better person and opened our hearts in ways we didn’t imagine to be possible.
