When I set up Quita la Caquita (“Pick up the Poop” 🤣, the wine-club-style biodegradable poop back subscription service I fell on my face with back in 2013 … check out this episode for a good laugh) I started following a lot of dog rescues on social media.

It soon became apparent that the women running these had the biggest hearts but neither the means nor systems and processes to make the kind of change they would have loved to make.

Most of their efforts concentrated on posting pictures of dogs on Facebook, sharing the hardships of rescuing dogs with very little money and space, then adding a paypal link for donations.

Plenty of scammers used the same approach looking to collect money without actually taking care of dogs, and as a result, honest efforts had little results.

“There has to be a better way!”

Well, turns out there is ..

When you combine passion with business acumen and solid boundaries, a lot more dogs can be rescued and helped.
