He is a veterinarian since 1985 and founder of Holistic Actions! And he’s on a mission to bring Compassionate Communication through a positive and practical veterinary spirituality to pet care.

One of the things we discussed in our conversation is the negative impact of fear and anxiety in owners when pets show symptoms, emphasizing the importance of looking at these as internal energy balances rather than physiologic problems to be immediately fixed.

In a conversation centered around the bond with dogs, Jennifer talks about how dogs changed her life.

Based in Morristown, New Jersey, Jennifer went from being a cat person to a dog person through her connection with her Australian Blue Heeler.

She talks about how having a dog has taught her about opening her heart, being patient, and letting go of control.

She also introduces her paradigm, 'soul language', which is about understanding the underlying energies of living beings and using this understanding to better communicate and nurture relationships.

Her knowledge of canine physiology allows her to spot a dog’s discomfort which is often at the heart of unwanted behaviours.

But even without being an expert on canine anatomy, observing a dog interact with the different smells, surfaces, treats or toys tells you a lot about their preferences and how they learn. It’s easy to see how that helps you help them.

AND .. simply being able to use all their senses, on their own terms, helps dogs relax and ground themselves which of course helps them cope better with whatever life in a human world throws at them.

If you have an anxious or stressed dog, Sarah Fisher’s works is worth checking out.
