Dogs Are Forever

“He’ll always be with you,” someone wrote to me in response to my post about Good Boy Cai crossing the bridge, 22 days ago now.

I knew it’s true.

It’s exactly what I felt, and still feel, when Leo crossed the bridge coming up to three years ago.

And yes, it’s what it feels like with Cai.

It doesn’t take the sadness away. It doesn’t make me miss him less.

But there is a sense of peace knowing that he isn’t “really” gone.

Now, this sense of “forever” brought me back to an idea I had before but didn’t act on.

Look what my “saved posts” list on Instagram looks like ..

I’m thinking of getting a tattoo 😛

I never went beyond “that would be nice” because I didn’t think someone could really capture the essence of my dogs, and I didn’t want just a generic dog tattoo.

Until I saw one on Instagram .. and you know what it’s like .. once you like one you start seeing more and more ..

So now I’m seriously considering it.

I’m still not sure 🤪 ‘

I would be my first one. I want a piece of art or nothing, so it's more about finding the right person, I guess.
